Goal: To provide a timely opportunity for Trout Unlimited members and the general public to learn about and give input on Deschutes Chapter and statewide TU activities and issues.
Meeting will occur on the first Monday of each month at 6:30pm, and The Environmental Center, 16 NW Kansas Ave, Bend, OR 97701. Changes will be posted at deschutestu.org if there are any conflicts or additional needs.
Brief presentations will be made by Darek Staab, Project Manager for the National Trout Unlimited Home Rivers Initiative based here in the Deschutes Basin (or a designated substitute), committee chairs, board members, and occasionally by outside speakers or individuals.
Handouts or slide presentation will be encouraged so as to improve effectiveness of communications and to form a basis for follow-up actions. Future plans for a newsletter or monthly we postings may be based on this information base, so as to improve communications with our membership and the general public regarding specific programs and issues we are working on. These records may also prove useful for developing and tracking processes and outcomes of TU activities. I favor creating an electronic filing system for all presentation materials.
Agenda and materials for the monthly meetings will be organized through the Program Chair of the Deschutes Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Input to the Program Chair can be given through the Contact Us page, or directly to the Program Chair email contact. One week before each meeting, presentations will be submitted to all board members, and publications will be made available on the website after board comments are received.
