The Bend Casting Games fundraiser, lead by the Bend Casting Club, will be happening on September 10, 2011 at the Orvis Casting Course at the Old Mill District in Bend, Oregon from 10am to 4pm-ish.

Be warned!!!  This year there will be a much quicker program, so get your questions together and sent to bendcastingclub@gmail.com before you get here!!!  The rules are much simplified for your enjoyment on purpose.  This is a peer group function, if you want to cheat - go ahead, its your prerogative.  However, you are only cheating yourself, The Bend Casting Club, and most importantly - the Deschutes Chapter of Trout Unlimited.  The Bend Casting Club has made the following statement regarding this: "You will be harassed you if you are caught!"

We are trying to keep this as low impact and as fun as possible.  Each foursome will regulate themselves on the holes they are casting.  If you are unclear as to the rules on each hole, please ask someone in your group for clarification - or even better, show up a day or two early and get some practice before you play on Saturday!  The rules are pretty basic, and there will be folks around to answer your questions if needed.  However, they may get grumpy if you are interfering with the fun of this program, or if they have to get out of the beer line to answer it...  There will be NO JUDGES on each hole as in previous years!  It's all about the honor system here boys and girls!!

Don't take it so serious!!  This is supposed to be fun!!  You are going to be hanging out with a bunch of people you already know, donating a couple bucks to the Deschutes Chapter, and enjoying the Casting Course!  We are putting the holes out there prior to the event on purpose!!  We want you to show up early and get your time in on the course!!  Practice til your arm falls off if you like!!  Just be ready to cast on Saturday.  As all of us know here locally, if you think you have a bead on the weather - wait 10 minutes and it will change!  Anyone can win on any given day, but being prepared is good policy.

1.
Individual Casting Games setup
  1. $25 donation to Deschutes TU to play as individual 9 holes (2, 3/4, 5, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 18) – 1 score card/player, all players shooting at their individual Level

Matt Paluch and the Deschutes River Camp are a new sponsor this year and have outdone themselves with a wonderful assortment of prizes. Some of which includes a weekend stay at the cabins in the Camp, and some great Redington Sonic Pro Zip Waders!

Korkers is a great Oregon company that has been a partner company with Trout Unlimited nationally for years. Each year they support our Casting Games with wonderful prizes, and this year is no exception!

Tim Rajeff, Rajeff Sports, Echo Rods, and Airflo have been supporting us since the beginning. This year is no exception and they have sent along some great products as gifts and prizes this year!

Tye Krueger and the Orvis store in Bend are responsible for the only Casting Course in North America. They are offering up some great gifts again, so look for something really special this year!

Jeff Perin of The Fly Fisher's Place in Sisters has always been available to us with support. This year there are a couple surprises coming out of the shop as gifts this year!

The Old Mill District has been a great supporter of this event for the past 3 years, and we could not do it without their help. Take some time to thank them by shopping the retail stores around the Casting Course or take in some food at any of the great restaurants.

Press Pros Printing in Bend has generously donated the posters we printed for this year's event. There might even be a few left over this year if you want to take one home!

10 Barrel Brewing is donating a couple of their best brews for the event and we hope you have a chance to come by and grab a cold one!
