Well, I went down to one of my favorite spots for taking in the beauty of the Deschutes River today with some hopes of also getting in to some fish.  There was plenty of sunshine and the hatches were popping off all day, but the fishing was a bit slow.  River level and flow was higher than last year this time, but it was still nice to get down there with the dog for a great afternoon of hiking and taking in the Middle Deschutes on a clear crisp March day.  Part way through the afternoon, I had a full blown kayak hatch about 20 minutes and 30 people later it was over.
